Your photos are the primary focus on Photobird.com
We want your digital photos to stand out as the main attraction in your photo albums, so we have created an easy-to-use, fun, attractive design. No ads, no gimmicks, no hassles. Easily add titles and descriptions
It's as simple as it should be: write your titles and descriptions in the boxes provided, then click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page. To access these boxes, click the Edit Album Options button for your photo albums, and Edit Photo Options for your photos.
Faster, easier, and more convenient than sharing photos by e-mail
Save time and avoid hassles instead of e-mailing digital photos. One of the best ways to share your photos online is to click the Send to a Friend button, which will send a personal message with links to your photos and photo albums. No more hassles e-mailing megabytes of photos each time you want to send digital photos to someone. Photobird.com also makes small versions of your photos online so that your friends can view your photos faster. See more benefits to using Photobird.com instead of e-mailing photos.
Simple web links copied straight from the address bar
Send links for entire photo albums and for individual photos. Copy the links directly from the address bar in your web browser. The links are completely recognizable to you since they represent the names of the photo albums and photos you have created -- not a random bunch of computerized numbers. Send links by e-mail, or use them for eBay online auctions, classified ads, message boards, and forums.
No login or registration required to view your online photo albums
Your friends can simply click on the link you sent them, or type in the link to your photo album. If you want to have more privacy, you can easily set up password-protected albums so you can assign passwords to all or some of your photo albums. You can also hide individual photo albums.
Easy navigation featuring the "breadcrumb trail"
Your photo albums have Previous and Next buttons, and album page numbers you can click on. All of your photo albums also have a "breadcrumb trail". This breadcrumb trail serves two purposes: first, you can use it to find out which photo albums you have clicked on most recently. Second, you can click on the names in the breadcrumb trail to go directly to that photo album. Finally, the photo and album names in the breadcrumb trail are fully represented in the link in the address bar of your web browser. Check it out!
Change photo display size
You can change the photo display size for any number of photo albums. You can change the photo display size for one photo album, or for all of your photo albums -- it's your choice. Choose from photo sizes of 320 pixels wide all the way up to the original size of your photo. To make changes easy, you can select "Same as ... album" to use the same settings as the "parent" photo album. This is the default setting.
Allow visitors to comment on and rate your digital photos
You can "turn on comments" to allow people to leave public comments about your photos in your photo albums -- similar to a guestbook. If you want people to rate your photos, turn on ratings too. Plus, we allow you to select only specific albums and photos to have comments and ratings. For example, you may want people to comment and rate your artistic photos, but you may not want people to comment and rate photos of your birthday party.
Show off your photos on the Photobird.com home page.
Click the "Submit for Photo of the Hour" checkbox to submit your photo into the queue for the home page. If it's worthy and we approve it, you and your friends can see it prominently displayed on the Photobird.com home page and on the Look at Pictures page. If it's a great photo, but won't quite work for the home page, you might see it featured in "People Places and Things" on the Look at Pictures page.
