3. How does the 7-day free trial work?
To sign up for the 7-day free trial and subscriptions, we ask for your name, e-mail address, and the username you would like to use on Photobird.com. We also ask whether you would prefer a monthly subscription or a yearly subscription, and your credit card number and billing address. After your credit card information has been verified, you can start making photo albums with your photos.
If you enjoy using Photobird.com, simply continue to use your account, and your credit card will be charged after the 7-day trial period. If you decide not to subscribe, please send us a message before the end of your 7-day trial, and we will cancel your account and ensure your credit card is not charged.
If you have any questions, please send us a message. We enjoy speaking with our customers.
4. Can I upgrade from a monthly subscription to a yearly subscription?
Yes, you may upgrade to a yearly subscription at any time. Please contact us to let us know you wish to upgrade. When you upgrade, you keep the remaining time on your monthly subscription; your yearly subscription will begin as soon as your monthly subscription ends.
5. How is Photobird.com cost effective?
Photobird.com is designed to leverage the communication power of the Internet: You upload your photos once, and you and your visitors can view them a virtually unlimited number of times. By comparison, professionally printing and mailing 400 photos can cost over $80 -- and that's for just 1 set of prints!
6. Can I get just 1 or 2 months of storage for my photos?
Yes. You can sign up for a monthly subscription and cancel it before it renews at the end of the second month.
7. Will my subscription renew automatically?
Yes, your subscription automatically renews at the end of your subscription term. Monthly subscriptions are billed once each month, on the date your subscription originally started. Yearly subscriptions are billed once yearly, on the anniversary date your subscription originally started.
8. How much storage space do I get for my photo albums on Photobird.com?
All subscribers get at least 500 megabytes, and you can add more storage space in 500-megabyte increments. Yearly subscribers can add 500 megabytes more storage space for $24.95 per year. Monthly subscribers can add 500 megabytes more storage space for $4.95 per month.
If you're using a 5-megapixel digital camera, which usually creates 2-megabyte photos, you can store over 200 photos with 500 megabytes of storage. You can store thousands of photos if you resize the photos before you add them to your photo album.
Refer your friends to Photobird.com and for each new customer you refer, you receive 250MB extra storage space, a $10 Photobird.com credit, or a $10 Amazon.com gift certificate. Read about our Tell-a-Friend referral program for more details.
If your photo is featured on our Look at Pictures page, you get an extra 50MB of storage for each photo. For more details, read about the Photo of the Hour.
9. Can I purchase a subscription if I'm not in the United States?
Yes, many of our current subscribers are from outside North America. We accept and encourage people from all around the world to use Photobird.com. Please note that all items are sold in United States funds, that import duties and local taxes may apply to international orders, and that duty and other domestic taxes beyond those described above are not covered in the subscription price and are your responsibility. To assist you in determining an estimated cost in your local currency, you may use this useful currency converter.
10. Can I get a refund?
No, refunds are not available. All purchases are final. If you are uncertain about whether to order a yearly subscription, consider starting your Photobird.com account with a monthly subscription less than $5. Monthly subscribers may upgrade to a yearly subscription at any time. And you may cancel your subscription during your 7-day free trial without being charged.
11. Do you accept payment other than credit card?
Yes. We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover cards. Please contact us for details on how to make payment by PayPal or another method.
12. How is storage calculated?
For every photo you add to your album, we create a thumbnail version and a version that is 640 pixels wide by 480 pixels tall. The 640x480 version is usually about 200K and the thumbnail is about 8K. These alternate versions count towards your allocated storage limit.
13. How much bandwidth do I get?
Bandwidth is the amount of Internet traffic required to access the photos in your account. As the number of people who view your photos increases, and the number of times they view your photos increases, the amount of bandwidth your account consumes increases.
Each account is allowed 2 gigabytes per month of bandwidth, or the equivalent of about 2,000 megabytes. This amount should be suitable for normal viewing of your photos. If you exceed this limit, your photo albums will be temporarily suspended for the remainder of the month.
Please contact us if you expect to need more than 2 gigabytes of bandwidth per month.
14. What happens when I cancel my subscription?
When you cancel your subscription, we flag your record in our database that you have cancelled, so your subscription will not renew. Your account will remain active until the current subscription term has ended, so you can continue to use your account to upload photos, share them, and otherwise use your account until the end of your current subscription term.
If you wish to cancel your subscription, please be sure to cancel it at least 5 days before it is scheduled to renew so that we can cancel your subscription before it renews and before your credit card is charged.
