Who needs fireworks? Indeed!

As you can see, this photo “Who needs fireworks” by Billy Atkins has extraordinary color and great composition. No doubt that the sunset there was a definite replacement for fireworks.

Billy’s photo is one of the many photos in our Photobird Photo Contest for July, with the theme of “Play”. As I wrote last week when I introduced this month’s contest, the word “play” can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. Watching gorgeous sunsets, like the one Billy captured, sounds like a great way to play to me! Sign me up!

There’s still plenty of time to enter our Photobird Photo Contest for July, which ends on July 31. But don’t procrastinate; before you know it, this month will be over too soon — just like beautiful sunsets.

Every monthly Photobird Photo Contest has two winners. At the end of each month, we pick one winner for the Photobird Award, and we will tally your votes to determine the one winner for the People’s Choice Award.
